MassHousing Awarded $342,000 to Six Organizations to Fund Summer Job Opportunities for More Than 100 Youths Across Massachusetts
The Agency's Summer Youth Employment Program allowed 103 youths to work up to 40 hours a week with a range of job opportunities

BOSTON – September 15, 2025 – MassHousing awarded $342,000 to six organizations that provided summer job opportunities to more than 100 young people across Massachusetts.

The Agency’s Summer Youth Employment Program provided funding for 103 young people to work for up to 40 hours a week, earning between $15 to $20 per hour based on the job performed. Most of the youths live in MassHousing-affiliated rental housing communities.

"This summer jobs program through our Housing Stability Department gives young people exposure to many varied work experiences with mission-oriented organizations," said MassHousing CEO Chrystal Kornegay. "This initiative is a collaboration with our business and community partners with the shared goal of fostering opportunities for social and economic advancement for the residents of our housing communities across the Commonwealth."
